VERINFORM WEB-BASE EVALUATION SYSTEM

Volunteer clinical faculty will now be expected to use the School of Medicine's Verinform system to evaluate residents under their supervision.  Clinical faculty are now logged in the system and will be prompted by email periodically to provide evaluations of residents registered as being under their supervision.  Clinical faculty may also generate evaluations of residents "on the fly" as they see fit.  This new system replaces the old system of triplicate paper evaluation forms.  The system is also used by residents and medical students to evaluate their supervisors and teachers, including lecturers in the psychiatry residency curriculum.

Clinical faculty who have not yet received their registration information may contact Ronald Lopez, in the residency education office.

ADVANCEMENT

For information on advancement at the UCLA School of Medicine, click here or contact your clinical teaching supervisor (CTS).

INPATIENT ADMISSIONS

Inpatient admissions to the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA can be arranged by contacting the UCLA Psychiatric Access Line at 310-825-9989.  Any difficulties with the admission process may be directed to Dr. Thomas Strouse.

Clinical Faculty members wishing to arrange care through a private psychiatrist may also wish to contact Dr. Lee Sadja (310-453-6440), a member of the PCFA who provides inpatient treatment of private patients at the Resnick Hospital.

TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES
The School of Medicine needs Clinical Faculty members to teach several of its pre-clinical medical student courses, including the spring Neuroscience course and the year-long doctoring course.  These teaching positions will provide medical students with important training, as well as psychiatrist contacts and role models before they enter their clinical curriculum.

For more information or to sign up, contact Dr. Margeret Stuber.
